Ask a question

The listing is for an Antique Victorian Enamel Coin Brooch. It has the motto: Honi Soit Qui Mal y Pense (Shame to him who thinks evil of it). This is the motto of the Order of the Garter; the oldest Order of Chivalry in the UK. The coin is a Victoria Jubilee Head Shilling 1887 which has been enameled and engraved on one side and converted into a brooch on the other side. The coin has red, white, blue, green and orange enamel.

Weighs: 6.3 grams

Measurement: 1.1400 inches long and 0.9275 inches wide

The brooch has a working safety clasp. The silver has patina, that can be cleaned by buyer if preferred. Some of the enamel has wear which can be expected with the age/use of the brooch.

💕All items in my shop are Estate, Vintage and some even older which means they show age and wear consistent with being preloved. 💕
